When science and magic collide, Touma's unlucky life gets a whole lot more dangerous.

Touma Kamijou lives in Academy City, a futuristic metropolis where students develop supernatural abilities through science. Unfortunately, Touma is a Level Zero with seemingly no powers of his own—aside from a mysterious ability in his right hand that can cancel out supernatural phenomena. His ordinary life changes when he encounters Index, a mysterious girl who claims to be a nun carrying the knowledge of thousands of forbidden magical books.

Soon Touma is caught between the worlds of science and magic, facing espers, sorcerers, secret organizations, and dangerous supernatural conspiracies. With action, comedy, mystery, and a growing cast of powerful characters, A Certain Magical Index explores what happens when two completely different systems of power collide.
