Returns & Exchanges
Items may be returned or exchanged within 15 days of purchase with a receipt or proof of purchase.
To be eligible for a return:

Sealed products must remain unopened

Books cannot have additional wear or damage caused after purchase
Refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible. Store credit may be offered in certain situations.
Questions About Condition or Shipping Damage
If you believe an item’s condition was significantly misrepresented, or if an order may have been damaged during shipping, please contact us promptly with photos of the item and packaging.
For expensive, collectible, or rare items, we strongly recommend recording the unpacking process in case a shipping issue needs to be reviewed.
We’re always happy to work with customers to resolve legitimate concerns fairly and reasonably.
We do our best to photograph and accurately describe notable flaws whenever possible.

Condition Notes
Many items at Senpai & Co. are pre-owned, out-of-print, or older releases, and we evaluate condition with both overall wear and the item’s age in mind.
Each used item is assigned a condition rating listed directly on the product page:

New — Either genuinely new or traded in unopened and in pristine condition.

Like New — Excellent condition with minimal visible wear. Older titles may still qualify as Like New if any wear is minor and appropriate for the item’s age.

Great — Light signs of handling or shelf wear may be present, but the item remains in strong overall condition.

Good — Noticeable wear is present, including moderate cosmetic flaws, but the item remains fully readable and structurally intact.

Fair — Significant wear or cosmetic damage is present, though the item is still complete and readable.

Acceptable — Heavy wear, visible damage, or aging is present. These copies are sold primarily as affordable reading copies or collection fillers.
Condition ratings are based on the overall condition of the item rather than any single flaw alone. Certain forms of damage may automatically lower a book’s rating:

Cover creasing typically lowers the condition by one grade

Torn covers typically lower the condition by two grades

Water damage may lower the condition depending on severity
Natural page yellowing due to age is not automatically considered damage or lower quality, as this occurs naturally over time even in well-cared-for books.
