In the kingdom of Excludo, fear of witchcraft has turned into a brutal witch hunt, with the Church condemning innocent people to death. Mistletien—known as Mist, the Black Knight—is a young squire who refuses to stand by while corrupt priests exploit that fear, taking up his sword to rescue those falsely accused of witchcraft. Traveling alongside Euphemia, a mysterious “true witch” skilled with potions and poisons, Mist becomes caught in a dangerous struggle against the forces responsible for the kingdom’s bloodshed.
