A yakuza on the run, a young heiress, and a Zen temple—what could possibly go wrong?
Kazunobu Haramoto has just joined the yakuza and is ready to climb the ranks when a mysterious assassin wipes out his entire organization. With Kazunobu and the boss's young daughter, Mutsumi, as the only survivors, the police place them in witness protection at an unlikely hiding spot: a strict, centuries-old Zen Buddhist temple. Now this rough-and-tumble yakuza has to trade his criminal lifestyle for Buddhist training, surrounded by young monks whose own complicated pasts gradually come to light.
