Yato is a minor god with big dreams—he does odd jobs for just a few yen at a time, hoping to earn enough fame to build his own shrine. When high schooler Hiyori Iki becomes involved in a near-death accident that leaves her spirit slipping in and out of the human world, she teams up with Yato and his mysterious Regalia, Yukine. Together, they face curses, otherworldly threats, and personal struggles in this fast-paced blend of action, comedy, and supernatural drama.
